David Gerrans, Commercial Director
More than 40-years in Motor & Warranty sector with Rover Group, British Car Leasing & Daewoo Cars
David was part of the original start-up team for MotorEasy in 1997. As Commercial Director, he works with major partners to open up new markets for multiple products.
His valuable Motor Industry experience comes from significant roles within Rover Group, rising to Fleet Operations Director and Director of Dealer Operations for the southern half of the UK. Subsequently he headed-up a major car leasing company, before bringing Daewoo Cars to the UK market in 1995 with a radical and memorable approach. In the late 90’s he became an entrepreneur and was Managing Director of Motoreasy PLC before it was taken over by Warranty Direct, which in turn, was sold to BNP Paribas.
The MotorEasy brand was reintroduced in 2016 and David has played a major role in cementing it as an industry leading B2C brand and a major contributor to its Intelligent Motoring parent.
David is a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry.
